She was born in Passaic in 1947 and grew up in Rutherford. She went to St. Mary's High School, Rutherford and William Paterson University. She taught elementary school at Holy Spirit in Pequanock for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Lintner; siblings, Rosemary Thomas, Maria Polatz and her husband John, John McCarthy, Christopher McCarthy and his wife Fran, Miriam Brayloc and her husband Lawrence, Teresa McCarthy, Martin McCarthy and his wife Laura, sister-in-law Janice McNamee and her husband Chuck.
She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Josephine McCarthy; and her siblings, Thomas, Francis, Joseph, Patrick, and Paul McCarthy.
